V2, also known as “LAB FOR THE UNSTABLE MEDIA,” is an independent publisher that explores the impact of media and technology in contemporary society. As opposed to adapting to an orderly, homogenous worldview, V2 proposes “unstable media present an image of a world that's inconsistent, heterogenous, complex and variable.” The philosophy is to embrace “instability” as a creative force to continuously reconstruct the interaction between technology and urban culture. V2 publishes monologues and serial books that explore connections among art, technology, and media, by bringing together artists, scientists, and civil organizations and by initiating interdisciplinary collaborations.
