Film is not only a strong medium of Art, but it's also a highly technical one. An advanced form of technology and vision is required to create a moving image that moves us. The two technical ideas I’d like to highlight are the film frames and the slate. The Film is projected at a 24-image-per-second speed, out of which every third film is blank to avoid the occurrence of a flicker. This is reflected in the grid structure of the identity system. A slate isn’t only a naturally occurring element, but also a clapboard that marks the commencement of every single scene shot. The Main Slate refers to the main selection of movies being featured in the festival.
