Minesweeper Stamps

My intention was to turn an object as mundane as stamps into something unexpected. I played with the notion that when you lift the stamp from the sheet, something could be revealed underneath. I then thought of Minesweeper, the classic game installed on every computer in the 90s. The goal of the game is to find all of the mines by clicking through a series of blank squares and hoping not to reveal a bomb. The design was kept as close to the original as possible to retain the game’s nostalgic quality. The stamps are printed on silver paper and would be sold by the sheet. Photos by Luke Nilsson.
