I wanted to throw the slumber party that I never had. I turned a 5 ft desk in the corner of the classroom into a replica of my room as a child. Plastered on the walls are 90's music posters, class photos, a polaroid of my mother and a window covered in stickers. I projected cartoons that I watched growing up with clips of 90's tv ads in between segments and handed out goodie bags filled with various party toys as well as a zine about my interests as a kid. I wanted to tap into the emotion of nostalgia and give everyone a glimpse into my upbringing. At the end of the party, guests were asked "what makes you feel nostalgic?"
