For this project, I designed an experimental book of poetry for Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s “Underwear.” At first, I wanted to combine graphic elements with illustrations to describe poetry. Compared with photography and typography, sometimes a picture is a more dramatic way to represent the spirit of a poem. The absurd topic and the
critical content build the beat generation style. I tried to create some abstract and wired cartoons to reflect what I thought of them.
