Brick Typography

Brick Typography Brick Typography Brick Typography Brick Typography Brick Typography Brick Typography
In an effort to break away from digital typography, I used this old pile of bricks in my backyard and turned them into typography. First, I measured the bricks and printed and cut the stencils from thick paper. Ironically, the font I used is called "brick". Then using various colors of spray paint I layed the bricks out and randomly sprayed them. This was a fun and carefree process. The final step was to play with the bricks! With the help of golden hour I managed to capture the bricks around my house in locations such as my driveway, the brick patio from which they originated, and even using them as bookends in my parents living room. All bricks in this project are for sale for use as bookends or paperweights, having been sealed with a matte clearcoat and the underside padded with felt. Email for inquiries!
