OBJECTIVE: Design a set of bookends that make a political statement about the books they are supporting. IDEA: To raise awareness on the constant police brutality against African Americans and the injustices of our political system. These issues are extremely personal to me and have affected me and family in many ways. I feel it's my duty to prevent these political issues from going unnoticed. I believe blacks are already a target because of their skin color--and when they accrue knowledge, they become even more of a target.
