This project, inspired by Frank Young's Meditation class, started with me looking into myself to see what I was afraid of. I was confronted with social trivialities such as friends and money. But when COVID struck, all of a sudden this project took on a much darker tone. I started by hand silkscreening over 50 posters with various fears of mine and others. After collecting the posters, I originally had the intention of spreading them around the city like you see in the first part of this video. While an interesting idea, my teacher asking the simple question after I spent the whole semester printing, "Shouldn't the font be more bold?" (He was right) Ultimately I decided that the posters were not bold enough and unsuitable for the street application. What was I going to do with all these useless posters? This is what I came up with. Yet this project is still unfinished. Still I must include it in my portfolio as it speaks to who I am and I feel it is more relevant now than ever.
