Cool Breath is a project that takes a simple everyday item—dental cooling spray—and describes it in literal and abstract ways over the course of a one hundred-page book. In this project,
I sought to play with a whimsical and humorous approach to the ideas of “cool” and “bad” breath.
The book is broken into various sections, including illustrations, typographic explorations, to mock catalogues of “cool” items, and segments about people’s breath. The challenge was
to interpret the Perioe Dental Cooling spray in no less than one hundred-pages, but the joy came from having no limitations outside of the project’s container and form.
