Background: A Poster series advertising the Annual Cervantino Festival. The Festival Internacional Cervantino takes place each fall in the city of Guanajuato, Mexico. Because it is my hometown, I have a special connection to this place filled with art, culture and beauty. The festival attracts many travelers who come specifically to attend the festival.
Reason: To understand the role grid systems play in poster design. Using a grid system is a useful and structural way to unify elements of a brand, as the grid act as the skeleton of the design. I chose a simple grid structure to avoid overcomplicating the elements.
Strategy: The typeface and packaging work in unison to deliver the content.
