Kitchen Brigade is a virtual team cooking experience. You are making the food with step-by-step recipes digitally. You will be cutting food with a virtual knife. Brigade de cuisine ("kitchen brigade" in French) is a French system of kitchen hierarchy found in restaurants. It was brought over from the military, and it is the standard in the restaurant industry. I created this VR experience because I wanted to make learning to cook fun and have it be serious at the same time, to gamify cooking. There would be no mess, no dishes, no bad smells, and, most importantly, no cooking wait times (for faster learning). Kitchens are about repetition and symmetry, making the same meal hundreds of times before perfecting it. The design is showing repetition and symmetry every which way possible. Kitchens are in gray scale, from the chef's attire to all the stainless-steel appliances. So the color of the food is the only color allowed in the system other than dark and light grays. An unlimited number of people can join a VR cooking class, unlike an in-person class where there's a limited amount of kitchen appliances, therefore limiting the amount of people who can be there. And you don't have to buy or waste ingredients while trying to learn—there are infinite ingredients, even the exotic and expensive ones.
