As part of the redesign of the iconic Citicorp building in NYC and its anniversary, the class was asked to design an object from 1977 (the year the skyscraper was built) that incorporates the 45-degree angle the structure is most famous for.
I designed a play set based on the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which was released in 1977. The set includes the Mothership, Devils Tower, and action figures, along with a box, all of which include the distinct 45-degree angle.
