New York is a melting pot of cultures and individuals from around the world, a large majority of the population consisting of Russians, Chinese, Koreans, Mexicans, Germans, and Italians. The idea is to incorporate the first language of these immigrant groups into the MetroCard design to create inclusivity and reflect the culture of New York City.
