A title sequence for the documentary Paris is Burning, which follows drag queens and other members of the LGBTQIA+ community living in New York City in the mid-'80s and frequenting the drag balls in Harlem.
My approach to this project was to produce a gritty and organic graphic but maintain the aspect of desirable luxury. Therefore I decided to use mostly stop-motion with textured and colorful fabrics and jewelry.
