A frame-by-frame animation that follows New Yorkers during a day in quarantine, narrated by Governor Andrew Cuomo's words on being "New York Tough." It's dedicated to all essential workers that were assigned to the front line during the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the beginning of 2020, COVID-19, a deadly virus, spread throughout the world, drastically changing the way we interact with each other. Essential workers blindly jumped to the front lines, and we owe them an immense amount of gratitude and recognition. My intention with this piece was to convey a personable atmosphere by showcasing a diverse group of people instead of centering it around a main character. I wanted to value the strength and courage of essential workers as well.
