Custom lettered book covers for L. Frank Baum's timeless children's series about the magical land of Oz.
This series drew inspiration from the original Wizard of Oz cover illustrations in their whimsy and elegance. I drew lettering for all 14 of the original books in the series, shaping elegant, rich typography as well as creating a cohesive system. The covers were designed in a gradient from ruby red to brick yellow to deep emerald as a nod to Dorothy’s journey through the Land of Oz.
