COPE — Motion Graphic

COPE — Motion Graphic COPE — Motion Graphic
The goal of this project was to recreate the graphics from a 1950s commercial voiceover. The ad chosen was that of an exclusively female painkiller called COPE. This motion graphic is an attempt to protest through satirical interpretations. We all know that patriarchy dominates our society. In an old-fashioned, sexist way of thinking, women were meant to be incubators and housewives. This satirizes that idea, creating an alternative world where COPE works to block feminism. The medication hypnotizes women, making them never realize gender inequality. Warning: The message might look aggressive, but to tone it down is to perpetuate the concealed sexism in our society today. There is no tone-down to abuse and inequality, so why should we settle with vanilla?
