The goal of this project is to show people the beauty of coral and provide more knowledge about coral, so people become aware of the importance of protecting the oceans.
The main object of the exhibition will be my coral collage, which includes paintings, photos, cardboard prints, and other materials. I use different materials to show and simulate the coral form including rubber, sponge, foam, fluorescent paper, cotton string, cotton, etc. Visitors can feel the real touch of coral by touching them.
Besides exhibiting in the gallery, I would also use AR to bring the coral into the lives of people in New York. By using phones to scan the posters in subway stations and on the streets, the coral will come to this modern industrial city far away from nature.
