Tartarus is a small, independent British press. It specializes in science fiction, literary supernatural, and horror fiction, and has won five World Fantasy Awards. Since the interesting stories attract so many readers, I created the logo based on the shape of stacked books. The line is maze-like to interpret the interesting reading process. I distinguished the book covers based on the genre of each category. For example, I wanted to show the supernatural flow through the atom/particle flow illustrations in the superpower/supernatural series. For the illustration of the sci-fi series, I created the concept of an electrical circuit.
