The ASL Pop-up Dictionary came from an assignment
to reinvent the dictionary. Children have the ability to learn sign language before they learn verbal language so they can communicate basic needs. Pop-up books are engaging and can educate children with basic signs by flipping through the pages of the dictionary; the hands begin to “move” and teach the child basic signs for everyday life.
