The Spotted Lantern Fly has been a hot topic since their invasion of NYC. These planthoppers are harmless to humans and can even be beautiful to look at, but they are dangerous eco-terrorists that are detrimental to the environment. Citizens have been called to action to kill these bugs and they have been enthusiastically met. Since then, the killing of these bugs has infiltrated the cultural consciousness.
