These are the album covers, concert tickets, T-shirts, and pin badges for the fictional band called 'Kimchi.' Each student was assigned a random design parameter. (topic, form, constraint, tone) The objective was to practice 'problem-solving' by interpreting the parameter in my design voice. The topic I got was 'Kimchi.' Also, I had to design three album covers and swags using only types in absurd tones. My goal was to avoid the traditional image of Kimchi to amplify the absurdity. Hence, I created visual elements about Kimchi but used absurd color palettes. I incorporated the random topic and tone using varying typefaces (gothic-style and modern) and vibrant colors.
