This is a brand design for Hunter Coffee Co. to design logo, coffee bean packaging and derivative products.
Hunter is a slightly offensive word, but I think the role of coffee is to make people feel relaxed and relatable. In the choice of font, I chose a more friendly sans serif thin body.
When the first time I saw the word hunter, it didn't seem like it would remind people of coffee. So, I thought about how to connect hunter with coffee. I noticed that the letter "u" and the capital "R" looked like coffee cups. Also, the main design this time is coffee bean packaging. So, I put coffee beans and coffee elements into these two cup-like shapes.
A hunter locks onto his target prey while hunting. Therefore, I also plan to design around coffee as prey in packaging design. The most directly related to coffee and coffee beans is its source coffee tree.
I drew a branch of coffee on the packaging and used an arrangement of coffee beans as its background. The brown branches are also the reason why I chose brown for the color scheme of the logo and packaging.
I designed three packages in total. For the patterns on the other two packages, I chose the fruit of the coffee tree and the branches of the coffee tree without leaves. The colors are bright green and yellow as the main colors.
