Recess is a non-profit that partners with artists to build a more equitable creative community.
The company’s visual identity came from the main characteristics of contemporary modern art.
I chose circles due to its symbolism of unity and inifinity which is what the non-profit conveys through their vision of inclusiveness and the allowance for artists to create with no boundaries. The choice to work with primary colors also represent the endless possibilities within art and along with the use of the type Helvetica, my goal was to bring an aspect of modernity to the brand’s visuals.
