A Dance Zine that shows off the beauty and diversity of movement in dance. Made up of images provided by the dancers themselves, this zine includes a wide range of dance styles. The three issues are organized by the three distinct styles/purposes of the photography, Beauty, Studio, and Performance shots.
I looked to fix a problem in the dance magazine market, where I found the visual language to be lacking diversity and innovation. This zine sought to demonstrate how visually engaging and interesting a dance magazine could be, different from all major dance magazines on the market today. Visually communicating formal structures of dance such as rhythm, movement, shapes, scale, and contrast.
