John Yuyi is a Taiwanese visual artist whose practice explores various aspects of social media and photography. Yuyi’s work exists at the intersection of youth culture, fame, and social commentary. Her temporary tattoos have undergone various iterations, including unconventional placements on raw meat cuts and the incorporation of dating app profiles on human skin. Magazine commissions have played a significant role in shaping her projects, with her images transferred onto everyday objects like cigarettes and knives, highlighting the commodification of the human form.
The storefront windows feature large decals of John Yuyi herself and her body as a canvas. I designed 3 different versions of the clothing tag, with the idea being that each tag will be one of a kind featuring one of Yuyi’s many beautiful pieces. The shopping bag will come with a collection of vinyl stickers, so customers will be able to customize their own shopping bags.
