My design aims to “visualize the music,” transcending the traditional boundaries of auditory perception and inviting participants into a journey to appreciate classical music.
A dynamic interplay of sheet music elements / forms responds in Ludwig Van Beethoven’s “Turkish March” in real-time to the music’s rhythm, creating a captivating synesthetic spectacle.
In the work, I created a design system for sheet music. I used shapes to present different elements in the music and opacity to describe the strength of the sounds. My goal here is to give people with hearing disability an opportunity to appreciate music and unlock the beauty of music.
