‘Guggenheim Museum’ is a project that translates the museum’s architecture—the core of its identity—into a typographic system. From a top-down view of the building’s blueprint, the iconic spiral reveals the silhouette of a lowercase g, which became the foundation for a set of letterforms derived from its structure. Inspired by the fact that the spiral ramp is composed of inclined surfaces tilted precisely 3 degrees, each character was designed following the same logic—cropped accordingly. This system captures the Guggenheim’s unique spatial rhythm through a distinctive visual language—echoing the path of visitors as they move through the space.
