This project was part of a course focused on exploring metaphorical visual communication. The objective was to study how abstract or symbolic visuals can be used to express emotional or conceptual ideas beyond literal representation.
Inspired by the New York Times article
“To Fall in Love With Anyone, Do This,” the animation interprets the process of falling in love not as something accidental but as something intentionally built. The article introduces a psychological experiment where two strangers ask each other 34 personal questions and maintain eye contact to foster intimacy and
emotional openness.
In the animation, this connection is represented as two people slowly assembling a puzzle.
Each question, each glance becomes a puzzle piece, small intimate moments that gradually form a larger meaningful whole.
The visual metaphor highlights love as a deliberate and evolving process made possible through shared vulnerability and intentional connection.
