GOODBYE TO ALL THAT BOOK DESIGN

GOODBYE TO ALL THAT BOOK DESIGN GOODBYE TO ALL THAT BOOK DESIGN GOODBYE TO ALL THAT BOOK DESIGN GOODBYE TO ALL THAT BOOK DESIGN GOODBYE TO ALL THAT BOOK DESIGN
This book design project explores the themes of loneliness and isolation in Joan Didion’s essay Goodbye to All That. The design incorporates photography by Robert Frank and Paul Graham, enhancing the melancholic tone of the narrative. A transparent paper jacket and inner pages evoke a sense of distance and ambiguity, while the cover features an acrylic gel medium transfer on canvas, adding texture and depth. Additionally, every mention of "New York" in the essay is highlighted, emphasizing its recurring presence in Didion’s reflection.
