This project involves designing covers for four different Shakespeare
plays: “Romeo and Juliet,” “Macbeth,” “Hamlet,” and “A Midsummer
Night’s Dream.” I initiated the concept by symbolizing key themes of
each play with specific flowers. For “Romeo and Juliet,” the chosen
flower represents unattainable love. In “Macbeth,” it symbolizes desires
thwarted by ambition. The flower for “Hamlet” reflects the ambiguous
line between life and death. Lastly, the flower chosen for “A Midsummer
Night’s Dream” captures the play’s dreamlike mystique. Each design aims
to visually express the core emotions and themes of its respective play
through floral imagery.
