This project reimagines Kiehl’s through the lens of contemporary apothecary culture, translating its neighborhood heritage into a modern system of transparent, function-led skincare. Drawing from early pharmaceutical rituals, utilitarian packaging, and the tactile honesty of apothecary materials, the redesign emphasizes formulation clarity, material simplicity, and a sense of quiet, dependable care. The visual language balances clinical precision with warmth, combining restrained typography, subtle color coding, and understated structural details to communicate trust, efficacy, and everyday usability. Rather than presenting skincare as aspirational luxury, the project frames it as a restorative daily practice rooted in science, transparency, and human care. By merging historical references with a contemporary retail sensibility, the redesign positions Kiehl’s as a modern neighborhood apothecary: calm, credible, and deeply connected to ritual, function, and wellbeing.
