Night Lights is a nationwide sky lantern festival held across the United States. This project reinterprets the festival’s identity by focusing on the core sensory experience: the moment a lantern’s inner glow transforms into a collective spectacle.
The graphic language is built upon the lantern’s most recognizable traits—its internal light and vibrant color spectrum. Each lantern is distilled into a minimal square form with a gradient base, a visual metaphor for light emerging from within. By simplifying the organic shape of a lantern into a precise geometric system, the identity creates a modern, scalable language that captures both the individual glow and the vast, unified atmosphere of the event.
