This project reimagines the identity of the Governors Ball Music Festival by reconnecting it to its geographic origin on Governors Island. Built from the island’s distinctive curving landforms and iconic Hills, the visual system treats the festival as both a living map and a musical score.
The overall identity is leaning more toward an architectural aesthetic than a psychedelic one, while maintaining a playful energy through rounded, bouncy linework. For the motion language, I developed animations that depict sound bouncing through circular forms, using tiny circles as a motif to express rhythm, resonance, and movement.
