Free and open to the public, the NY Art Book Fair is the world’s premier event for artists’ books, catalogs, monographs, periodicals, and zines.
"Dog ear" is the simplest gesture by which a reader intervenes in a book, signifying "I've reached this point" or "This is important." It represents the trace of the human hand—you can't dog-ear a screen. Dog-earing also metaphorically reflects the duality of NYABF: its exterior is institutionalized, yet its core is chaotic, radical, and underground. I envision the entire NYABF as a colossal book. Every visitor's journey, every pause they make, every purchase they complete—each is like a "dog-ear" marked upon this great tome.
