This project is a poster design for a hypothetical exhibition of Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota, whose installations explore themes of memory, existence, and the invisible connections between people and space.
The design draws inspiration from Shiota’s use of thread as a medium, translating her immersive spatial installations into a graphic language. Through layered light, texture, and repetition, the poster creates a sense of depth and entanglement, echoing the emotional and psychological atmosphere of her work.
Rather than directly depicting her installations, the poster abstracts her visual language into a minimal composition, allowing viewers to interpret the idea of memory as something fragmented, layered, and continuously reconstructed.
