The poetry collection in Balloon Pop Outlaw Black is cartoon like and whimsical. The concept for the cover comes from one of the poems which features a black cat, so I made the cover come to life as a cartoon. When the book is read, the page sign slides out and opens the eyes, so the book is awake. When the book is not read the book looks asleep.
