Without color, black and white photography focuses more so on lightness, darkness, and form. Keeping this in mind, the identity and logo for the magazine were created. Through out the features for each of the photographers, Man Ray, Bernice Abbott, and Hiroyasu Matsui, typography was used to elevate the photography.
