The Vast & the Voidoid is an excercise in time-travel, and aims to comprehend our relationship to past-cultures. Is the validity of the inspiration we draw from these cultures affected because it has only been digested through media channels? Through research and writing, I traced the patterns & circumstances that led to the birth of punk and identified the signifiers which reveal its ideology. After mapping and defining that which inspires, new tangents and ideas reveal themselves.
