The idea for my work started with a very simple idea of making wooden chairs that are not meant to be sat on; this conflicting idea of familiarity and strangeness plays a significant role. I want to depict unrefined beauty in ordinary objects in a quiet and unfamiliar way. However, I still want the chairs to have some functions, and I decide that they will simply become the frames for the landscapes.
