Being a horror movie fanatic, I was inspired by gorey horror movie props to create the packaging for Death’s Door Spirits. The whiskey bottle is a stabbed heart because whiskey makes you very emotional. The tequila bottle is a brain with an axe in it because tequila makes you crazy. The gin bottle is a severed foot because gin has a very pungant scent. The vodka bottle is an arm because it is the staple of alcohol & can be mixed with almost anything. The tag line and head line for the ads is a play on death. “It’s Killer” helps play on the idea of murder for the packaging. The ads were designed to have a victorian vodo like quality to them.
