Thesis project;
I tried to find objects, and ideas in daily life around me, because normal, insignificiant pieces are totally related to ordinary people’s lives. While I was doing so, I noticed that so many bikes were broken and worn out, so people just leave them on the street. Especially since I always walk from Lower East Side to Gramercy Park district to go to classes, there are many abandoned bikes missing some parts. I came up with the idea for those bikes. The idea is collecting abandoned bikes and repair and refresh them, and provide to them people who need it.
Thus, I have started a case study around my neighborhood, in order to exactly know how many bikes were thrown away and how I can use them.
