This is a magazine project. It started from the projection project. We placed large prints on walls and project video and images on top of it. It creates an amazing effect that Photoshop can never does. It is dreamy, illusional, colorful, and interesting to look at.
My book is about my feeling of nostalgia and other people’s reaction to it. For me, I have been in this country for 7 years, but I still feel I do not belong here; however,
I am not going back to China to live neither. Every time
I go back to visit, I feel I am still in the state as when
I left, but everything has changed. Something I can not even catch up. Therefore, I decided to interview people who are from other countries, and listen what are their feelings of nostalgia. I appreciate their generous sharing very much. I found this sympathy that we all have, and some interesting thoughts that I have never thought about before.
My expectation from the viewers is after reading, they can recall their own nostalgic feelings and discover different thoughts form others. Finally, experience this book as a joyful moment and a meditation of their past, present, and future.
