What I did is the timeline of a legendary and controversial woman: Peggy Guggenheim, a leading figure of the development and expand of modern art. I admire her a lot, and making this to commemorate her. Her uncle is Solomon Guggenheim, who owned the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
My idea is "pieces", which is stand for her whole life: she purchased artworks piece by piece crazily during WWII. She married twice to the men who she did not really love. Her children hate her only daughter died of overdose. Her family was in pieces also.
So I designed a brochure based on this idea. I wanted it look more like a architecture or Installation than just a normal booklet. The cover is make up by interior pages, which are in different size, but still looked unified from the front.
The cover is her portrait, took by Man Ray. The organic, geometric shapes on her face, are inspired by her collection. Such as Arp's paintings, her collections, or important art works in her life.....
