Scout is an organic hair care line built around the aesthetic of Scouting and the great outdoors. The packaging designs were inspired by the merit badges badges affixed to the Boy Scout uniform. Each product in the line displays a different knot on the front of the tube, correlating to the strength of the hair care product. The hair care Gel is represented by a bowline knot. Just as the bowline is a sturdy knot that can be used in emergency and rescue situations, the Gel has the strongest hold. The Paste offers a medium holding power and is represented by the square knot, which can be used to join two ropes together. Finally the Cream offers the least amount of holding power and is represented by the taught line hitch, an adjustable knot that can be tightened or loosened to maintain tension when needed.
