A reinterpreted design of Maya Angelou’s poem, On the Pulse of Morning. The poem speaks to the hopeful future for all races if we learn from our violent past. My concept was to visually refer back to the Civil Rights Movement where large posters were used to rally people together. The physical book is 11’’x17’’ to create the sense of scale and strength.
