Clorox is not a sexy brand. It doesn’t attract millienials - an age group known to be lazy when it comes to cleaning their space. Millienials are drawn to technology and speed so how does Clorox adapt to this difficult age catagory and get them to buy their products and encourage regular cleaning habits? The 7 Minute Clean app works to encourage millenials (or anyone) to clean their space regularly. In the app, a user can select the type of space they are looking to clean. Once selected the user is taken through a step by step and room by room timed guide that suggests cleaning tasks and Clorox products to be used when cleaning. The entirety of the guide can be completed in 7 minutes. The goal of the app is to promote regular cleaning habits among individuals particularly millienials and expose them to Clorox products. Ultimately, once the app establishes healthy habits the user will “graduate” from using the app and continue to purchase Clorox products on their own.
