Cover art for a piece of music is instrumental because in most cases, Its someones first impression. The art behind the music needs to serve its purpose in taking the intangible sounds and create that same feeling through the art. In today’s world, music has changed because of the new digital landscape that has stripped away the physical aspect of listening on a record, cassette, cd, etc. I created 3 pieces of cover art that span the different music cultures in our current music era. This collection of cover art are all vastly different. The pieces range from a viral Tik-Tok song, an infamous underground rap album, to a complete re-interpretation of an iconic rock record of the 70’s.
