The FANGSUO Hotel is a landscape renovation and cultural heritage project. The hotel is located in LIU garden, a century old residence on the outskirts of Suzhou, China. It is a place to inherit culture and memory and return to nature. The overall materials of the building mainly use logs to replace the cement stone bricks commonly used in Suzhou buildings to interpret the modern Chinese architecture. After the overall demolition of the original building and the re planning of the original garden, the designer reconstructed a new modern building inspired by the circular structure of the Colosseum. The circular structure releases the facade, making the space possible in many ways, such as trees growing freely in the forest. A horizontal glass window is opened in the building block, from which visitors can see the scenery and commune with nature as much as possible. In the pursuit of high-quality living environment, people living in the city get the release of mind in the natural landscape.
