I visited my high school’s website and sought to create a more distinct visual identity that reinforces the school's brand. The current website lacks color, and information and pictures are placed within restrictive boxes. I redesigned the site to include more breathability in the layout of information, introduced color, and clearly showcased the artwork of the students through white space and simple typography. The color scheme I used is drawn from the Bauhaus logo. Sections are identified by color blocking used throughout the layout. The redesign began with an audit of other art school websites, such as Yale Architecture and MICA and how those successful designs might be employed within this redesign.
